How it works
Marnie shows up with a whole bunch of bird house
pieces-parts, and her tools, and lots of natur’l decorations. After
she explains what all the pieces are and what kind of trees they come
from, and you decide what size bird house you want to build, YOU get to
pick out enough parts to make the bird house(s) of your choice.
Next, Marnie and her helpers nail up your bird house for
you out on the trailer parked in back.
Then, you get to decorate it using all the natural nuts
and leaves and moss and flowers and such that Marnie brought from Shady
Grove Preserve. --But, not till you get a thorough explanation about
what all the decorations are and where they come from, and so on.
What you will do:
~*Pick your favorite bird
size, either

Small (Wren, Titmouse, Chickadee, Downy WoodPecker or Wing
Nut**)
Medium (Blue Bird, Swallows, Warblers, Yellow Bellied
Sapsuckers, or ornery Pileated (Mary Jane) Woodpeckers*** with
nothing better to do cause their trees are all cut down.
…Sorry, no big bird, or tiny
bird, or bat houses this time around

~~No trees or plants will be
killed in the making of these bird houses.

Your kit includes 1 glue hot glue stick for wood, if you
need more than one glue stick, you can buy more from Marnie on site (50˘
ea).
Bring your own glue gun and glue sticks if you got em. If
you don’t have a glue gun,
Marnie will have several with her, so you kin share
Or, you can buy a “Johann’s glue gun” from Marnie on site
(under $5).
If you are a young-un and your mom (or Marnie) doesn’t
want you using a hot glue gun, you can lay out everthin the way you want
it, and an adult person will use the hot glue gun for you. Same for a
adult who ain’t confident in their hot glue gun abilities.
How cute you make it is up to you.
A prize will be awarded for the purtiest birdhouse
created in the BYO.
