This
year we will have our Annual Meeting to elect officers and appoint
coordinators at a really unique location.
We will gather at Shady Grove Preserve, on Rt. 40 between Ocala and
Dunnellon on Saturday April 17 between 9:30 and 10 AM, and start
promptly at 10 for a wonderful nature walk on this private preserve. It
will be led by the owner Marnie Hutcheson.
If you were there in January you are in for a big surprise, and if you
weren't you will be in for a treat! The forest should be in full flower
and leaf unlike January. There is now also a very large lake on the
property.
After the hike we will be eating a barbecue buffet lunch around noon.
There will be pulled pork and pulled chicken and several sides. The
cost of this meal will be $10 per person. A drinking cup to fill and
refill with regular or spearmint ice tea, or fresh water or other soft
drinks will be $1. You can also choose to bring a beverage on your own.
The annual meeting will begin around 1PM and should be over by 2 PM.
There will be a drawing for door prizes. After that you can take an
afternoon walk or go kayaking.

If you will be coming to the meeting but not the lunch that is an
option, as long as you let Karl know if that is what you intend.
A head count of all those coming is needed to determine how much the
club will pay @ $5 per person for the use of the preserve and the guided
walks.
The lunch caterer also needs to know how many are attending--bring $10
per person to pay the caterer there.
